Some Days

Some days are easier than others
To get started and
Some days just don't seem to
Get started at all.
The trick seems to be to get started,
Keep on going, and not fall.
The sun will rise and shine regardless
Of how we think or feel or seem to.
Do we get up and shine with it
Or do we not shine at all?
Do we cut through the clouds and haze
And peek in and out during the day?
Maybe we just soak them up,
Lazying away the day?
Maybe we'll toil beneath them?
It doesn't matter either way,
As long as we get up, get going,
Shine, and not fall.
