Life Is Good

In our teens and twenties,
It's all physical and hormonal
As we search for a mate.
We think we know it all, invincible.
We're not too bright, actually.

In our thirties,
We're busy rearing children
And building careers and we start to
Settle in and truly learn.

By the time you hit your forties,
You better have your shit
Half way figured out and wired tight or so.

Now, I'm looking forward, toward fifty
And really starting to live, all over again!

Roundtree Said

One day, someone
Is going to come along
And treat me so well and
Be so good to me
That I'm not going to know
What to do with myself.
Roundtree was right.
